Alex founded Lakewood in 2008 and has since built an impressive portfolio of high-end developments and bespoke renovation projects across Hampshire. Based near the New Forest, he also designed and built his family home — a true reflection of his craftsmanship, creativity, and attention to detail.

Together with his wife, also named Alex, he created Headlands Farm — a unique countryside destination featuring luxury lakeside holiday accommodation, a welcoming coffee shop, padel courts, and beautiful fishing lakes.

Outside of work, Alex is passionate about adventure, fitness, and the outdoors, often exploring the New Forest with his wife, their three young children, and dog, Luna.

Driven by quality and integrity, Alex continues to shape Lakewood and Headlands Farm into inspiring places that bring people together — beautifully designed, thoughtfully built, and made to be enjoyed.

Derek is a highly experienced businessman who, alongside his son Alex, runs Lakewood Developments. Before joining Lakewood, he owned and operated Wise Catering for over 30 years, later taking on a directorship at the Ageas Bowl, home of Hampshire Cricket.

He became part of Lakewood Developments in 2012 and continues to bring invaluable experience, energy, and commitment to the business — when he’s not on the golf course!

A lifelong enthusiast for sport and fitness, Derek has completed numerous triathlons and marathons and enjoys staying active through a variety of sports.
